Aphrodisias Ancient City

Afrodisias, which was included in the World Heritage Tentative List by UNESCO in 2009, was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2017.
Aphrodisias or Aphrodisias (Greek: Ἀφροδισιάς, romanized: Aphrodisi ás), the Goddess Many ancient epochs dedicated to Aphrodite is the common name of the city . It is the most famous of the cities named Aphrodisias (or Aphrodisias). It is an ancient Greek city located in the southwest of Anatolia , in the old Caria region, where the Geyre district of Karacasu district of Aydın is located today . It was moved to Geyre after the archaeological excavations started .
B.C. Founded in the 5th century, the city developed during the Roman Empire, BC. 1st century A.D. Between the 5th centuries, it became an important art center, especially sculpture. Aphrodisias became famous with the temple of Aphrodite and the ceremonies held in the name of Aphrodite.
A trip to the Ancient City of Aphrodisias was organized by the European Club of Adalya College on November 17, 2023. The teachers and students who participated in the tour had a pleasant time in the magical environment of the ancient city.
